M.A.T. in Early Childhood / Elementary Education
PROGRAM INFORMATION
The College of Education at Oregon State University offers an undergraduate (Double Degree) program in Early Childhood and/or Elementary Education on the Corvallis Campus. The Cascades campus has a full-time 14 month MAT program in Early Childhood and ELementary education. The undergraduate Education Double Degree program enables OSU students to earn two undergraduate degrees concurrently – one in their chosen field and the second in Education (BA, BS Degree). The Double Degree pathway is a 40 credit hour program that includes all the course work and field experiences (e.g., student teaching) necessary to qualify for an Oregon Initial Teaching License granted by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC).
Courses for a M.S. in Education (M.S.Ed.):
Examples of current course topics include: Educational Psychology, Multicultural Issues in Education, Classroom Management, Students with Special Needs, Language Arts Methods and Strategies of Teaching Mathematics.
