Program Description:
RMU's Special Education (MEd) program is for currently certified teachers who are looking to gain the skills, knowledge, and competencies necessary to meet the needs of students with disabilities in multiple settings.
Students learn to utilize research-based, effective instructional strategies and diagnostic tools to enable candidates to develop a thorough understanding of child development and appropriate diagnostic and instructionally adaptive strategies fo all learners.
In addition, graduates of the program are able to demonstrate knowledge and competence in the areas of academic, social, and emotional growth and implement that knowledge to maximize a student's capabilities.
